Our Story

Detox Sober Lounge was born from a simple but powerful truth: getting sober shouldn't mean giving up joy, fun, or connection. After choosing sobriety in 2017, founder Alexis Lawson searched for a space where people could dance, laugh, and truly vibe without alcohol. When she couldn’t find it, she built it.

We’re currently planning our very first sober festival for 2026 — and we’re building the energy now. Detox Sober Lounge creates unforgettable sober events that uplift, inspire, and bring real community together. From poetry nights to live music and other creative gatherings, everything we do is rooted in joy, creativity, and connection. We’re not clinical. We’re not stiff. We’re a vibe — a bold, healing space redefining what sober fun looks like.

We’re now looking to secure a permanent home for Detox Sober Lounge — a place where fun and sobriety coexist freely every day. Until then, we’ll keep showing Omaha what sober fun really looks like.
